Hidden Portugal was set up by a group of travel writers based in Portugal with a view to helping travelers to discover the less well-known side of the country. There was a time that almost the only version of Portugal known was the Algarve; then Lisbon and Porto came on to the tourist’s radar. Now there is growing interest in a less explored, more authentic side of Portugal and we are here to help you discover it!
Hidden Portugal is all about writing about our favourite places in Portugal so that travelers can get to share our enjoyment – we are all travel writers who are based in different corners of the country and we are passionate about the small things that make a trip truly memorable. We can give our readers an insider’s perspective on the country – our aim is to provide a flavour of a unique side of Portugal that you can discover if you are brave enough to leave the well-trodden tourist trails.
