Diogo Piçarra

Altice Arena, Lisboa Rossio dos Olivais, Lisbon

Diogo Piçarra's South Side Boy Tour debuts at the largest concert hall in the country, the Altice Arena. This will be the first time that the artist will give a concert in his own name in this room, and it will also be the first time that he will present the songs from the new album “South Side Boy” live. Diogo Piçarra arrives at Altice Arena after a break of more than a year from the country's great stages, having, during 2019, performed a very successful acoustic tour in the main national auditoriums, with more than 30 sold out concerts.

Egschiglen

Museu do Oriente, Lisboa Doca de Alcantara Norte, Av. Brasília, Lisbon

The Egschiglen group was founded in 1991 by master’s students from the Ulán Bator Conservatory. The three elements that make up it today are founding members and the heart of the group that, since its inception, is dedicated to the contemporary interpretation of traditional Mongolian music. The music of a country is inspired by its landscape and the way of life of its people. Mongolia, in the heart of Asia, is a vast territory, approximately twelve times larger than Portugal. It is a country with endless pastures to the south, to the arid beauty of the Gobi desert. In the snowy mountains of Altai and Changai, crystal clear rivers traverse forests and plains. Egschiglen’s music impresses by its variety and expressiveness. They perform traditional songs and works by contemporary Mongolian composers with their harmonious arrangements, using traditional instruments from their country and vocal techniques from Central Asia. You can almost hear the sound of the husks of the strong Mongolian horses: Genghis Khan founded the greatest empire in the world thanks to them. And, again, the music transports us to the pure silence of the Gobi desert, where only the wind sings in the dunes. A music of contrasts of great evocative capacity. The style of khoomii singing, which consists in producing at the same time a very sharp and very guttural sound, seems superhuman. However, the music sounds familiar, expressing timeless human feelings: love, sadness and gratitude.

1Kilo

Capitólio Lisboa Parque Mayer, Lisbon

1Kilo, the most revolutionary rapper collective of Brazilian music arrives in Portugal by Malpevent to present his work for the first time on December 10, at the Capitol, in Lisbon. This is a true phenomenon of modern music, which conquered Rio de Janeiro in 2016, where the secret is acoustic rap, a mix of painted pop guitars, flows, MPB, Trap, pop, and sober lyrics, sometimes romantic and seductive. For the collective 1Kilo, almost anything is worth, as long as the rap has space to value itself and travel to other levels. A show to see on December 10 at the Capitol in Lisbon.
